The Muhammadiyah students alliance condemns Israeli military offences toward Palestine which have cost the lives of innocent civilians. This was expressed by dozens of students affiliated with the local chapter of The Muhammadiyah students alliance in Palembang South Sumatera throught a rally and long march in the 11th of January 2009.
Staging banners and posters with messages condeming Israel's attrocities against The Palestinians, the protesters held a long march from the cinde market to the city's central water fountain. In their speeches the students voiced disapproval of Israeli violations of international laws and of the united nations resolutions. They also protested the support shown by The United States facilitating Israel's immunity to international sanctions.
The protesting students further demanded The Indonesia Government and The United Nations representative in Indonesia to help stop The Israeli military offences toward Palestine and to immediately open access to channel humanitarian aids to Gaza.
