BAJAJ AN ALTERNATIVE MODE OF PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

The bajaj has become an alternative fast and practical mode of public transportation in the city. Unfortunately it is quite hard to find an evironmental friendly type of bajaj.

For Jakartans the bajaj a three wheeled vehicle from India is not a new type of vehicle despite its loud noise the vehicle is quite dependable to criss cross throught traffic. However the bajaj is one of the main source of air polition in the city because
of the gas coming out of its exhaust pipe currently there are gas fueled bajajs which is environment friendly.

despite the large amount of emand for this new type sadly they are hard to find. The daily fuel consumption cost of the common type of bajaj is forty thousand rupiah while the gas fueled type only cost twenty thousand rupiah. According to a bajaj driver the decreasing price of fuel has no effect on their income. They can only cover fuel consumption and daily fares.
