NATUNA IS PARADISE TO TRAVELERS AND UNDERWATER SCENERY OF WAKATOBY

Natuna is paradise to travelers who seek untouched nature. The beaches and ocean will inspirate tourist, ravelers and nature lovers. There are a variety of interseting tourist sites such as Batu Sindu Sah and Sabuton beach and other beatiful beaches which stretch accross the area.

Each and every one of thess tourist attraction can be reached in a relatively short time. Batu Sindu holds a legend about two lovers who were forced to seperate by distance and their beatiful relationship was meet a tragic ending. The experience of visiting Natuna will not be complete without trying out the tasty traditional foods af Natuna.

There are a variety of traditional foods in Natuna such as Tabal Mando which is made from rice flour mixed with coconut fish and other ingredients and should be eaten while still warm. There are other traditional food such as Kernas which is made from tuna fishmixwd with rice flour and then fried.

Natuna regency can be reached by flying Riau Airlines from Halim Perdanakusuma airport Jakarta and Hang Nadim International Airport Batam. Now it is time to visit in an international photography contest in Jakarta about Wakatobi in Southeast Sulawesi who is well known as beatiful underwater scenery.

The beauty of the underwater scenery of Wakatobi Southeast Sulawesi has been captured in an international photography contest in Jakarta. Many domestic and international photographers took part in the photography contes which started in July and ended in November 2008.

The objective of the contest was to capture the enchanting beauty of underwater scenery of Wakatobi and to promote tourism in Wakatobi. Varieties of colourful fish and beatiful underwater scenery were presented in the photographs of contestants. The winners of this international photography contest received a total of 20 thousand US Dollar.

The Minister of Culture and Tourism stated his support for the event and hoped that it would help developed the tourism industry of Indonesia.
