The vice president Jusuf Kalla is pleased with the implementation of the poor family health services in giving health assurance at the Ciptomangunkusumo Hospital in Jakarta. After the unexpected inspection at Ciptomangunkusumo hospital Jakarta this morning, the vice president urged all hospitals to take good care of the families of their poor patients and do not collect any expense from them.

Currently Ciptomangunkusumo is in a reconstruction to be hospital of an international standard. Jusuf Kalla said that the poor family health services in Ciptomangunkusumo Hospital have been in accordance with the system and do not need to be changed. In the occasion the vice president also spoke to people who were in the line at the poor family health services centre.

The government arranged to launch subsidized premium price on 2010. The subsidized premium is only intended for public transportation and motorcycle. General director of oil and gas Evita Legowo explained that on 2010 the government will not provide subsidized premium to all community just yet but limit only for public transportation and motorcycle.

With the recent price the premium will not be subsidized again. There is possibility to subsidy the premium if the price of premium exceeds six thousand rupiah. Meanwhile the goverment will also minimize the consuming of elpiji cylinders on 2010.

International anti kidnapping campaigner and former farc hostage Inggrid Betancourt was in Rome where she continued her efforts in support of kidnapped people still being held by the revolutionary armed forces of Colombia. Early in December Betancourt ended a regional tour in Latin America where she tried to jump start hostage talks with the leftistrebels who kept her captive for years.

The tour represented her first return to Colombia after her stunning rescue from leftish guerrillas in July. As part of her campaign, the French Colombian Politician who was snatched by farch rebels while running for president in 2002, led amarch in Spain last November against kidnapping. Thousands of people in Colombia and cities as far away as Beijing also marched and held candlelight vigils, imploring the rebels to release the hundreds of people they still hold.

Betancourt was chained up in Bug-Infested jungle camps, her health often in Peru, until state security forces duped the rebels into turning her and 14 other captives over in a daring rescue operation. Now go to Middle East.

Israel released 224 Palestinian prisoner in what it called a "goodwill gesture" to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. Promping jovous family reunions in the west bank and Gaza Strip. Families sang and danced as prison buses rolled up full of newly freed men. Shouting and waving from the windows and mothers wept as they embrased their children. Palestinian minister for prisoners affair Ashraf Al-Ajramia welcomed the release but said much more needed to be done.

Buses carried the men from the checkpoint to the Muqata - Abbas compound in the west bank city of Ramallah, where they paid their respects to the late Palestinian President Yasser Arafat by kissing his grave site and where reunited with their families. Abbas greeted them individually with kisses on the checks but said Israel should release all the Palestinians it is holding.

The President said that demand included members of the Islamist group Hamas which drove his Fatah faction out of Gaza strip last year and now controls the territory.
